He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Berry Gardner and Georgia Bee Jones (Martin); his wife Betty West Jones; his stepdaughter Kathy Parry (Steve); his sister Charline Sorrels; his stepgranddaughters, Laura Labor and Amy Ramirez; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Haydn Boyd and Hannah Boyd; and his pets, Daisy and Foxy. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made to First Baptist Church of Winnsboro, Cypress Basin Hospice, Gilbreath Memorial Library, or Winnsboro Animal Shelter.
