He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Zellia Padon and James Madison Fregia; his children, Linda Marie Dixon (Pete) of Manville, Texas, Sandra Hendrix (Tom) of Liberty, Susan Lynn Hutchison (Joey) of Dayton and Duane "Butch" Fregia of Kountze; his half-brothers, Tommy Fregia (Roberta) of Hull and C. D. Fregia (Ann) of Hull; and his wife Lynette Fregia. He was also cherished by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
