William Thomas Shelton Obituary
We are sad to announce that on June 9, 2023, at the age of 101, William Thomas Shelton of Windcrest, Texas, born in Yanceyville, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bessie Poteat Shelton and James Spencer Shelton; and his siblings, Stephen, Ruby Lea, Margaret and Betsy.
He is survived by: his wife Alma Simmons Shelton; his children, Aggie, Bill (Thelma) and John (Vicki); his sister Sarah; his nieces and nephews, Amanda (Kevin), Spencer, Jessica and Skyler; and his stepgranddaughters, Genevieve and Vanessa (Jose). He is also survived by four great-grandchildren, and one step great, great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Army Residence Community Development Foundation's Smith Fund. Tax-deductible donations in Tom's honor should be made out and mailed to ARC Development Foundation, Smith Fund, 7400 Crestway, San Antonio, Texas 78239.
