She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert E. Cherry and Willie M. Wright Cherry; her husband James L. Oaks; and her brother Howard Cherry. She is survived by: her daughters, Beverly, Carol Williams Tait of Wimberley and Judy King (David) of Miles; her grandchildren, Marcus King (Vicki), Katherine King Kolodziej (Leon), Richard Williams (Donna) and Robert Williams; and her great grandchildren, Brittany Anthony (Casey), Sabrina Davis (Nick), Caleb Williams, Kensie Williams, Keely Williams, Megan King, Sarah King, Richard Levelle, Emily King, Rihanna and Maddie Kolodziej. She is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
