It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Will Odam Jr. of Wimberley, Texas, born in Abilene, Texas, who passed away on August 21, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his grandfather John Odam Jr.; his parents, John Will Odam and Nettie Eloise Odam; his children, Jennifer Paige Odam Barnett and Matthew Kurtz Odam; his children-in-law, Chip Barnett and Elizabeth Manieri-Odam; his grandchildren, Charlie Barnett, Spencer Barnett, Luke Barnett and Rose Manieri-Odam; and his cousins, Sandra Morrison and Richard Emery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in John Odam Jr.'s name to the Houston Area Parkinson Society.

Don Odam lit a candle

“I had a special connection through my dad TB Odam. Dad was always telling me about John and his activities and that he appreciated John visiting him when he came through San Angelo. John and I communicated occasionally through emails. I called him every couple of years and his phone # kept changing as he changed jobs. My wife and our oldest son were invited to Wimberly for the weekend in 2016 (can't believe it was so long ago). Georgia and Lucille were there also. I never knew Peggy died as well”
