She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfredo Gamez and Tomasa Estrada Gamez; her husband Nicolas C. Cantu Sr.; her sons-in-law, Henry Castro, Frank Diaz and Roger Olivarez; and her siblings, Tony Gamez, Joe Gamez, Alfred Gamez, Frank Gamez and Mary Servantez.
She is survived by: her children, Liberty Castro of Floresville, Linda Diaz of Floresville, Alma Olivarez of Floresville, Nicholas Cantu Jr. (Cindy) of Floresville and Margaret Cantu of Floresville; and her brother Albert Gamez Sr. (Ruby) of Floresville. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; and 26 great grandchildren.
