He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Petta and Emma Petta; his brother George Howard Petta; and his daughter Doris DeAnn Fitzgerald. He is survived by: his wife Sheila; his daughters, Sherie Dean, Tara Petta and Belinda Valdez (Mario); and his grandchildren, Johnny Miller, Casie Williams (Ryan), Amber Seeton (Jason), Frank Hernandez, Alex Hernandez, Ashley Martinez, April Bynum (Brody) and Danelle Fitzgerald. He is also survived by his 17 great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Byrum Funeral Chapel (425 N Dallas Ave, Lancaster, TX 75146). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
