She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, John Warren Abbott and Susan Elizabeth Hall Abbott; her grandmother Sarah Elizabeth Hall Abbott; her former spouse Wardo Hendley; her daughters, Wanda Hendley McBride and Gail McLendon Hall; her husband Herman McLendon; her siblings, Melvin, Gene Abbott and Edna Carter; her grandson Billy Rozelle; her great grandchildren, Courtney Howard and Jason Wilson; and her grandchildren, Wayne Groom, Philip Groom, Keith McGuire, Brad McGuire, Kevin McGuire, Linda Groom, Frankie Wilson and Susan Tull. She was also cherished by 25 great-grandchildren, 42 great-great grandchildren, and 3 great-great-great grandchildren.
