She was predeceased by: her parents, George Smith and Emma Smith; her husband Douglas Fairbanks; her son Ronnie King; and her siblings, Irma Dean Pierce, Georgia Pearson, Dorothy Wilson and Marvin Eugene Smith.
She is survived by: her close friend Bonnie "Bo" Bridges of Terrell, Texas; her children, Jason Powell of Corsicana, Texas and Pamela King Fowler of Frankston, Texas; and her grandchildren, Adrianna Powell, Monty Powell, Scott Willis, Donnie Willis, Annabelle Powell, Ellie Powell and Graham King. She is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
