He was predeceased by: his parents, O. L. Nelson and Dorothy Nelson; his brother Danny Nelson (Dennis Nelson); and his great-nephew Easton Cole Nelson. He is survived by: his wife Marcelle Nelson; his brother Rodney (Viola); his niece Sheree Papasideris (Costa); his nephew Shaun Nelson (Carol); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Adriana, Ashlyn, Georgia, Bobbie, Otha, Colt Nelson, Madyson and Chandler Norris.
