He was predeceased by: his mother Florence Keller Gunn; his brother Richard Gunn of Minneapolis, Minnesota; his sons, William C. Gunn (Bill) of San Francisco and Vincent C. Gunn (Vince) of Wichita Falls, Texas; and his daughter-in-law Nancy Story Gunn of Fort Collins, Colorado..
He is survived by: his wife Carol Carlson Gunn of Graford, Texas; his daughter Emily Gunn of Pine River; his grandsons, William and Robert Woodruff; his daughter Sheila Gunn McCormack of Natick; his grandchildren, Conor and Hallie McCormack; his daughter-in-law Ann Kritser Gunn of Wichita Falls; his grandchildren-in-law, Julie Strihan, Charles and Christopher Gunn; his daughter-in-law Maggie Gunn of San Francisco; his grandchildren-in-law, Suzanne and Greg Gunn; his stepchild Kelly Dean Yandell (Pitts) of Dallas; his stepgrandchildren, Lily, Ford and William Carlson Dean (Amy Morrison Dean) of Nichols Hills; and also, Laurel and Blythe. He is also survived by Nineteen great-grandchildren.
In recognition of their contributions to the life of the city, in 2013 the Wichita Falls Board of Commerce and Industry and the Times Record News named them Wichitans of the Year.
