He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Grass Smith; his children, Trina Roxanne (Steve Jackson), Rex David (Kay Smith), Regina Lynn (Dion Baggett) and Gene Rance (Tracy Smith); and his half-siblings, Gary Smith, Paula Lowrance and Carla Smith. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, cousins, family and friends.
