With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Johnnie Childress Turnbow of Wichita Falls, Texas, who passed away on December 17, 2024 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Johnnie Childress leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Childers and Bertha Louis Turnbow (Gay); and his wife Mozelle Ressel of Randlett. He is survived by: his children, Vicki Lynn Baggett (David), Jeanne Kay Samples, Katie (Kenneth), Johnnie Jr. and Butch. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Owens and Brumley Funeral Home (1317 9th St, Wichita Falls, TX 76301). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Crestview Memorial Park (1917 Archer City Hwy, Wichita Falls, TX 76302).
