With profound sadness, we say goodbye to George Edward Johnson (Wichita Falls, Texas), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. George Edward left this world on February 20, 2025 at the age of 77, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Edward Johnson and Lucy Claire Ables Johnson; and his parents-in-law, JB Horton and Willie Mae Horton. He is survived by: his stepchildren, Shawn Marie, Chad Edward (Christy) and Josh Brandon; his wife Patsy Joyce Horton; his grandchildren, JoLea, Christian, Sarah Beth and Ryan; and his great grandchild Mya (JoLea).
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church West Campus. He survived jumping off of a house as the 79 tornado was quickly approaching, two heart attacks, brain surgery (yes, there was a brain in there), and even COVID before finally succumbing to COPD after a years-long battle.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in George's memory to Hospice Plus and Healing Hands Healthcare.
