He was predeceased by: his parents, Peck Mayo and Vesta Mayo (Lipe); his wife Pearl Harris; his son-in-law C. C. Hayley; his brothers, Wendall (Irma Rae Mayo) and Irby (Jessie Mayo); and his in-laws, John and Winnie Harris.
He is survived by: his children, Tommy John Mayo (Carla) of Bellevue, TX and Connie Hayley of Wichita Falls, TX.; his grandsons, T. J. Mayo (Celeste) of Lubbock and Nathan Mayo (Randilyn) of Vernon; and his great grandchildren, Zeke, Zeb, Zander and Claire. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
