He is survived by: his wife Lori Mendez of Wichita Falls, TX; his children, Tracey Mendez (Andres) and Carlos Mendez III (Jamie Goodner); and his sisters, Maria Mendez, Yolanda Mendez Torres, Alicia Mendez, Paulita Mendez Reza, Isabel Gomez and Ester Mendez Elsik. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
