With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Bertha Sites Mapes of Wichita Falls, Texas, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Florien'George' Sites and Ola Mae Sites; her husband Fred Douglas Mapes; her siblings, Mary Evelyn Sites Bow, Doris Sites Bigoness, John'Jack'Sites and Dale Sites; and her daughter Ann Mapes Byas.
She is survived by: her daughters, Donna Mapes Lewis and Susan Mapes; and her grandchildren, Brandon Byas, Laurie Byas, Will Lewis, Jaime Lewis Huff, Ian Skjervem and Sam Skjervem.
A funeral service was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Burkburnett Memorial Cemetery (920 Bishop Rd, Burkburnett, TX 76354).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to First Christian Church in Wichita Falls or Hospice of Wichita Falls.
