He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolph Gustav Weigelt and Olga Wagner; his wife Sarah Beth Gandy; his son Dennis Weigelt; and his sister Audrey Johnson.

He is survived by: his daughter Carolyn (Tony Wright); his pet Tuffy; his granddaughters, Kathy Moore and Sarah Jennett; and also, Rufus and Agnes Lamere.
