She was predeceased by: her parents, Oda Chaney and Herb Chaney; her siblings, Viola, Doris and Harold; and her former husbands, Wayne B. Gerhardt and Robert W. Brooks.
She is survived by: her sister Florence; and her daughter Dena Gerhardt Martin. She is also survived by three grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
