It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Drew Anthony Sr. of Whitney, Texas, who passed away on December 23, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, A. B. Anthony and Jewel Anthony (Henderson); and his siblings, Flournoy, Jimmy, Wendell, JoAnn and Jan.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Clary-Anthony; and his children, Anastasia Anthony Allison (Ben Allison), David (Brenda), Stephen (Amanda), Chris, Jon and Zachary. He is also survived by grandchildren and precious great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to Alzheimer's research and the American Cancer Society.
