He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia Roland (McBride); his parents, Lloyd Roland and Ora Roland; and his sisters, Mary Brown and Betty "Joyce" Martin.
He is survived by: his children, James of Mead, OK., Christy Beck (Steven) of Whitewright, Melanie Vest (Buddy) of Celina and Johnny Roland of Whitewright; and his siblings, Arlene Beck (Jerry) of Van Alstyne, Carol Stailey (Donald) of Blue Ridge, Willie Risner of Van Alstyne and Tony Roland (Debbie) of Gordonville. He is also survived by grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
