He was predeceased by: his father William Neil; and his brother David Legate. He is survived by: his mother Ollie Hugh Hill Legate of Ada; his children, Phillip Legate of Ada and Brandy Reynolds of Howe, TX; his stepdaughter Haley Cooper of Little Elm, TX; and his grandchildren, Taylor Reynolds, Zoey Reynolds, Trinity Shearer and Christian Killgo.
