He was predeceased by: his parents, Buck Wynne Freeman and Bennie Ruth Birdsong; and his siblings, Alice Neil Brown, Jane Bland, Jackie McElroy, Billie Bailey and Walter Wayne Freeman.
He is survived by: his wife Dodie Freeman; his son Devery Freeman; his siblings, Helen Gideon and Merle Freeman; his grandchildren, Shawna Torres, Miles Freeman and Dallas Freeman; and his great grandchildren, Trenton Jackson, Ty Richie, Easton Torres, Caroline Freeman and Copeland Freeman.
