She was predeceased by: her parents, Alonzo Oliver and Marcie Dee Evans Young; her husband Arthur A. Fletcher; and her siblings, Lonnie Young, John Huey Young, James R. Young, Neila Mae Pyle, Leila Faye, Juanita Gatlin, Ruth Jeffcoat, Ruth Madewall and Paulette Bowles.

She is survived by: her children, Debra Tomlin (Roland) of Whitehouse, Janet Butler (Steve) of Whitehouse, Mark Fletcher (Sandra) of Arp, Cynthia Brown of Kilgore and Kay Howard of Van; and her brother George Randall Maxey of Palestine. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Shirley Ann Fletcher, 83 of Whitehouse, ended a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease surrounded by family and friends at Oak Brook Nursing Home on October 23, 2023.
