It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roy W. Arkelin of Whitehouse, Texas, born in Rockland, Michigan, who passed away on August 18, 2021, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Arkelin and Wilhemina Arkelin (Gertrude Cooper Arkelin); his daughter Paula Arkelin; his siblings, Eino, Rudy Arkelin, Lillian Harnish, Edna Eichinger, Jenny Hill and Sylvia Swanberg; and his granddaughter Regan Arkelin.
He is survived by: his children, Michael (Sue Arkelin) and Cathy (Ben Dintelman); his grandchildren, John Michael Arkelin, Melissa Evans, Travis Dintelman (Allison), Ashley Kornegay (Brian) and Brittany Garrard (Sam); and his great grandchildren, Madison, Abbey Evans, Hayden, Hannah Dintelman, Emry, Easton, Ellison Kornegay, Ryder, Knox Garrard, Shawanda Cofer, Brandy Boswell and Karen Davis.
