He is survived by: his wife Delilah Ann Kern; his children, David Tyrus Godby, Eric Lee Godby, Raymond Don Kern, Temple Gary Kern, Brezzy Ann Godby and Erica Lynn Godby Soliz; and his siblings, Homer Dale Kern, Hadley Raymond Kern, Eldon Dryce May, Royce Dale May and Peggy Joyce May McHam. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild.
