He was predeceased by: his parents, Efford Stallings and Dovie Aldene Stallings; and his former wife Connie Stallings. He is survived by: his wife Vera Paxton; his children, John Stallings of Garner, Texas and Kaylee McRae (David) of Trophy Club, Texas; his stepchildren, David and Lisa Paxton of Fort Worth, Texas; his grandchildren, Aidan, Evan and Ashton McRae; and his brother Rudy Stallings (Donna) of Shell Knob, Missouri. He is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends.
