He was predeceased by: his parents, O. C. Alvey and Della Alvey (Starnes); his sisters, Della Ruth Pitts, Lois Settle, Fay May and Claude Evaline Alvey; his brother-in-law Ronnie Turner; and his grandson Christopher Isonhood.
He is survived by: his wife June Alvey of White Oak; his children, Jimmy Ray Isonhood (Christy) of Gilmer, Renee Mills of Pearland and Phyllis Renee Greenwood (Raymond) of Mineral Wells; his grandchildren, Jakob Isonhood (Catherine), Shara Allen (Tim), Chelsea Mills, Layla Mills and Kinzey Fitzhugh; his great grandchildren, Kyla Allen, Will Allen and Leyton Watson; and his siblings-in-law, Charles and Lana Turner. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Croley Funeral Home - Gilmer (305 W Harrison St, Gilmer, TX 75644). A burial was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at the Sunset Memorial Park (1582 US Hwy 271 S, Gilmer, TX 75644).
