With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Britten of White Deer, Texas, born in Groom, Texas, who passed away on June 18, 2021 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Britten and Josephine Britten; his daughter Cindy Britten Cooper; his son-in-law Benny Cooper; and his siblings, Margaret Babcock, Leona Newsome, Louise Acker, Tom Britten and Ray Britten.

He is survived by: his wife Erma Britten; his children, Lynda Paul of White Deer, Nicky Britten (Karen) of Houston, Nelson Britten (Teresa) of White Deer and Max Britten (Sue) of Olathe, Kansas; his brother George Britten (Janie); and his brother-in-law Bob Brown of Amarillo. He is also survived by PaPaw to his 9 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 10 great great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
