He was predeceased by: his parents, Catherine "Tony" Houston and Elbert T. "Jack" Houston; his stepbrothers, Cal Johnson, Freddie Johnson and Jack Johnson; and his pet Smoke.
He is survived by: his wife Melinda "Wendy" Williams; his sister Vickie Britten; and his pet Critter. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
