He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edgar Bennett and Ruby Bennett; his wife Bettie Bennett; his sons, Donnie Bennett (Tammy) of Duncan, Dean Bennett (Lynne) of Friendswood and Darin Bennett (Julie) of White Deer; and his grandchildren, Wesley Bennett (Julie), Amber Hansen (Michael), Tacy Bennett, Brice Bennett (Cori) and Cody Bennett. He was also cherished by four great grandchildren.
