She was predeceased by: her parents, William Boyd Renner (BW) and Velma Nettie Hays Renner; her children, Joe Bill Dempsey and Velma Sue Dempsey Cochran (Sudy); her great grandchild Mikel Chance; and her siblings, BJ Renner and LaVeta Neal.
She is survived by: her children, Bobby Jack Dempsey (Kathy Jo) of Matador, Harold Lloyd Dempsey (Cindy) of Amarillo, LaRae Estelle Dempsey Whitlow of Happy, Darla Beth Dempsey Forney (Ross Forney) of White Deer and Glenda Dempsey of Happy; and her sisters, Wanda Jo Russell of Round Rock and Beryl Rae Reynolds of Amarillo. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren, forty-one great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren.
