She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Ben and Irene Henrietta Ordner Hoelscher; her husband John Louis York; her siblings, Gertrude Gadjos, Helen Pugh, Alvin Hoelscher, Joseph Hoelscher and Leon Hoelscher; and her grandson Clay Joines.
She is survived by: her children, John L. York, Jr. (Betty) of Houston, Marjorie McClellan (Jack) of San Antonio, Ed York (Margie York) of Myra and Carolyn Joines of Wharton; and her brother Sylvester Hoelscher of Robstown. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.
