It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jose Ramirez (Wharton, Texas), who passed away on February 17, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Sebastian Ramirez and Natividad Lopez Ramirez; and his siblings, Julian, Guadalupe, Juan Ramirez and Margarita Saenz.
He is survived by: his wife Consuelo Ramirez of Stafford; his children, Anna Sharum (Tom) of Sugar Land, Norma Hall (Steve) of Sugar Land, Rebecca Howe of Stafford, Jacquelyn Schuley (Scott) of Houston, Jerry Ramirez of Sugar Land and Christopher Ramirez of Cypress; his siblings, Luis Ramirez (Bonita) of New Caney, Lazaro Nieto of Houston and Maria Van Hoose of Lorain; and his grandchildren, Amanda Ramirez, Leigh Ellis, Lindsey Ramirez, Cody Ramirez and Courtney Ramirez.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wharton Funeral Home (515 E Boling Hwy, Wharton, TX 77488). A rosary was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church (506 S East Ave, Wharton, TX 77488).
