It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Georgie Mendel of Wharton, Texas, born in Moulton, Texas, who passed away on August 2, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Peter Machart. She is survived by: her children, Karen Macfarland (James) of Wharton and Kevin Mendel (Lisa) of Houston; her grandchildren, Megan Mendel, Rachel Reed Jacobs (Antonio) and Bryan Reed; and her great grandchildren, Khloe Jacobs and Kaleigh Jacobs.
