With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edith Iwen Ophaug of Wharton, Texas, born in McVille, North Dakota, who passed away on December 15, 2021. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ida Nesheim and Edwin Nesheim of McVille; her sister Ione Ringdahl; her former husband Ross Ophaug; and her daughter Phyllis Greenberg.
She is survived by: her brother Idrane Nesheim (Esther) of Moorehead, Minnesota; her children, Janice Schroeder (David) of Wharton, Eric Torfin (Katherine) and Bret Torfin (Kristi); her son-in-law Rick Greenberg of Peyton, Colorado.; her grandchildren, Kristy Rico, Jeff Philyaw, Andrew Schroeder, Phillip Torfin, Jenny Price, Brittney Mascorro and Chad Torfin; and her great grandchildren, Erica, Julia Rico, Jolie, Jacey, Hagen Philyaw, Jeremiah, Phoenix, Falcon Mascorro, Everly Torfin and Allen Torfin.
