We are sad to announce that on November 23, 2024, at the age of 97, Billy Watkins (Wharton, Texas) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Billy may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Billy touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gus Edward Watkins and Willie Belle Pack Watkins; and his son Russell James Watkins (Peggy Watkins). He is survived by: his wife Peggy; his sons, Randall Lee Watkins (Roxanne) of Chappell Hill and Kenneth Edward Watkins (Denise) of Austin; his grandchildren, Briton Mitchell Watkins (Hannah), Stuart Houston Watkins and Cody Tyler Hastings; and his great grandchild Mitchell Perry Watkins.
