He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur and Ida; and his brothers, Martin and Kenneth. He is survived by: his wife Sharon; his sons, Keith (Betsy) and Mark; his grandchildren, Sarah, Kristen, Paul and Laura; and his sisters-in-law, Sue Schulze and Vivian Schulze. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
