He was predeceased by: his parents, Boyce Thomas and Maggie Geneva Thomas; his siblings, Mervyn Thomas and Joyce Gillespie; his brother-in-law Curley Gillespie; and his niece Rhonda Gillespie.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Thomas; and his children, Ronald Thomas, Jr., Michael, Joseph (Sandy), Patrick Thomas and Amy Thomas. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and numerous beloved in-laws.
