It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Josephine Kocian (West, Texas), who passed away on June 14, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Josephine Kocian to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ignatius Hutyra and Anastasia Hutyra (Sulak); her son-in-law Rick Russell; and her siblings, Patrick Hutyra Sr., Walter Hutyra, Margaret "Margie" Cocek, Bennice Koen, Bernice Lichnovsky, Bridgette Wrbas, Evelyn Wilson and Angela Kelinske.

She is survived by: her husband Theodore "Ted" Kocian Sr.; her children, Teddy Kocian (Toni) of Waco, Tim Kocian of West, Janice Russell of West, Randy Kocian of Huntsville, Amy Kocian of West and Jennifer Cox (David) of Lorena; her brother Ignatius Hutyra Jr.; her grandchildren, Kaci Hodges, Jeremy, Amanda Litke (Ryan), Cody Kocian (Jessi) and Jordyn Russell; and her great grandchildren, Sophia Litke, Beckett Kocian and Ronyn Merino. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's School Endowment Fund or to the charity of your choice.
