We are sad to announce that on March 26, 2024, at the age of 98, Henry Groppe Jr. (West, Texas) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Groppe and Anna Groppe (Heitmiller); his wife Carol Tarrant; and his siblings, Ocee Keaton Groppe, Ruby Mae Popp and Violet Park.
He is survived by: his children, Hollis Crow of San Antonio, Jay Groppe (Kathy) of Lancaster, Leslie Dean of Shreveport, LA, Hans Groppe of Houston, Anne Cushing of Chattanooga, TN and Laura Groppe of Houston; his grandchildren, Robert Crow II (Shannon), Alexis Crow, Caroline Groppe, Ernest Henry Groppe IV, Violet Spring, Arthur Spring, Mariah Cushing, David Alexander Cushing, Christopher Cushing, Jason Dean (Rachel), Rebecca Dean (Warren Murdoch) and Mary-Katherine Dean (Kendall Coleman); his great grandchildren, Dean Bonham Crow, Stella-Hope Murdoch, Reville Dean and Samuel Dean; and his friends, Betty Biggom, Stacy Graubart and Jaime Ramirez. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Closner Cemetery Association.
