With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Floyd Horton (West, Texas), born in Merkel, Texas, who passed away on January 1, 2023 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Horton and Amanda Horton (Parker); his son Chuck Horton; and his siblings, Sarah Horton, Robbie Burns, Edna Hammit, Mattie Allred, Mary Jean Tarvin, Lula Faye Gilmore, Barbara Woorley, Thomas, C. W., John, Vernon, Lee Roy of James and Jimmie Ray Horton.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Horton of West; his daughter-in-law Kathleen Horton of West; his stepsons, Tim Bailey (Missy) of West and Jimmy Grmela (Maria) of West; his brother Clinton Horton (Zoile); his grandchildren, Michelle Ivy, Jessica Browning (Aaron), A. K. Horton, Keith Horton (Hillary), Chad Bailey, Kelsey Bailey, Alexandra Talley (Brandon), Sean Grmela and Noah Grmela; and his great grandchildren, Sadie Ivy, Hannah Ivy, Hallie Ivy, Brazos Browning, Brody Browning, Hayden Horton and Virginia Jade Horton. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption.
