It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernest John Holecek Sr. (West, Texas), who passed away on October 21, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Holecek and Rosie Holecek (Karlik); his wife Joan Hajek; and his brothers, James "Jima" Holecek and Eugene Holecek Sr..
He is survived by: his children, Ernest "E. J." Holecek Jr. (Susie) of West, Anna Jo Bettge (Raymond) of West and Joseph "Gogie" Holecek (Lanetta) of Elm Mott; his sisters, Frances Osborn and Evelyn Kocian; his grandchildren, Rachel, Daniel Croll, Jeremy, Melissa Bettge, Troy, Kayla Bettge, Heather and Ricky Palmer; and his great grandchildren, Jack, Ellen, Luke, Kate, Jay, Easton and Bentley. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to West Veterans Honor Guard or St. Mary's Cemetery Association.
