He was predeceased by: his father Edward Hykel Sr.; his parents-in-law, Leona and Eugene Gerik Sr.; and his brother-in-law Eugene Gerik Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Janet Hykel; his mother Barbara Jean Hykel (Hessel); his children, Chris Hykel (Sammy Jo) of West and Ashley Mynarcik (Chad) of West; his grandchildren, RaeLynn Ward, Dylan Cassity, Luke Mynarcik and Dannie Mynarcik; his siblings, Bobby Hykel (Kathy), Terry Hykel, Shanona Goodman, Keith Hykel (Kelly), Karen Holder (Selby) and Lanette Gerik (James); and his sisters-in-law, Patricia Reesing (Robert), Bernice Gerik and Jilji Gerik. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the West Volunteer Fire Department, West Volunteer Ambulance Association or to the charity of your choice.
