She was predeceased by: her parents, Cornelius Patterson and Dorothy Mae Gillis Patterson; and her siblings, Lilian Rose Lindsay, Josie Gillis, Clotea Gillis Dyer, Leona Robinson and Thurman Gillis, Jr..
She is survived by: her daughters, Donna Patterson (Amadou) of Delaware and Delaina Price (Tafari) of Colleyville, TX; her grandchildren, Leila and August; her sister Dorothy Marie Gillis; and her close friend Barbara. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
