He was predeceased by: his parents, Doris Carroll and Adell Carroll. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Carroll; his sons, Ronald Carroll, Jr. (Emma) and Gary Carroll (Jody); his grandchildren, Kristina (Justin) and Tyler (Katelyn); and his stepgranddaughters, Jennifer and Kari. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
