He was predeceased by: his parents, Nathan Lewis and Katie Moore Lewis; his siblings, Betty Thompson and Nathan Lewis, Jr.; his nephew Phillip Smith III; his niece Sharion Parker; his stepmother Dorothy Lewis; and his stepbrother Frankie Williams.
He is survived by: his wife Lonita Lewis of West Columbia; his children, Robert Lewis, Jr. (Stacy) of Brazoria, Greg Lewis (Melinda) of Lake Jackson, Broderick Gartica of Bay City, Chadwick Anthony Lewis of West Columbia and Roxie Gartica of Bay City; his siblings, Eliza Smith of Angleton and Ruben Glenn; his uncle Randolph Mack (Gladys); his aunts, Elizabeth Godley of Brazoria and Rebecca Grice of Brazoria; his mother-in-law Loretta of West Columbia; his siblings-in-law, Rosalind Thomas, Kayan Jones, Tamara McKay, Michelle Davidson-Thomas, Shalonda Lenued-Thomas, Debra Williams, Sterling Thomas (Vickie) and Nelson Thomas; and his friends, Clayton Fields, Roosevelt Johnson, Sr., Roosevelt Johnson, Jr., Marcus Bonner, Penn Johnson and Ronnie Harris. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, friends and relatives.
