He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucille Elizabeth Jones (Tabor) and Charles Edward Jones; and his sister Glenda Darlene. He is survived by: his wife Doreene; his children, Yvonne Darrell, Darlene Tipps, James Jones Jr. and Nicole Stell; his grandchildren, Robert Darrell, Heather Mendez, Justin Harris, Jeremy Hamilton, Jason Hamilton, Kyli Jones, Daygn Jackson, Renee Mendez, Joey Mendez, Fal, Anderson, Abigail Anderson, Jackson Hamilton and Savannah Harris; and his sister Sandra Jones.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the mission fund at First Baptist Church Brazoria.
