He was predeceased by: his parents, Sadie Viola Sullivan and William Jefferson Bowen; and his siblings, William, Lloyd and Alba.
He is survived by: his wife Diann Bowen; his children, Lisa Donise Nickelson (Larry), Dena Leigh Bowen and David Darius Bowen II (April); his grandchildren, David Joshua Earley (Jana) and Parker Ryan Nickelson (Adrianna Moralez); his great grandchildren, Chloe, Aubrey and Kylie; and his siblings, Raymond, Janice and Curtis. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
