He was predeceased by: his parents, Aniceto Gonzalez and Julia Gonzalez; his children, Julian Gonzalez and Mirthala Ruvalcaba; and his siblings, Julian Gonzalez, Martina Vera, Tomasa Garcia and Lela Lopez.

He is survived by: his wife Maria G. Gonzalez of Weslaco, TX; and his children, Mario Gonzalez, Jesus Gonzalez of Weslaco, TX, Guadalupe Ruvalcaba of Ontario, CA and Maria Cardona of Santa Ana, CA.. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren & numerous great-grandchildren.
